Taxi Driver TrainingTaxi driver training will be needed by prospective taxi drivers, as driving standards are raised. With over 100 Local Authorities signed up to the Driving Standards Agency directive, all prospective taxi or private hire drivers who require a Local Authority Passenger Carriage licence will have to take a more stringent Taxi driving test. This test is similar to the practical driving test taken by learner drivers, except that there will be a higher standard required, where only 9 minor faults are acceptable for a pass. Since its introduction the average pass rate is 33%!
Driven Ltd are able to offer those in need of driver training for the taxi test a local and proffesional service that is tailored to the needs of the individual in order for them to meet the standards required to pass the current taxi test with ease. Courses are available for drivers with no previous experience through to drivers who just need to develop a few key skills.
All of our trainers are DIA Accredited Taxi Trainers aswell as Driving Standards Agency Fleet Registered Approved Driving Instructors of the highest grades. They are also very experienced in training drivers that have been driving for a while, so don't expect it to be like your driving test, as we know that you can drive and its the Taxi test your looking to pass. Your trainer will make an assessment of your current standard, highlighting areas in need of development and provide relevant training and advice in order to develop the areas in need of improvement to be able to pass your test first time.
